Week Five
LO- Demonstrate your understanding of branding and 2D poster design by compositing timeline poster in an area of the brand museum.
Success Criteria
All levels – Must take three screen grabs for their write up on blogger.
C GRADE – Composite your illustrator branding evolution poster into a photo of either the interior the outside of the branding museum in London– find images on Google or on the Museums website which is linked. Show how you did this on your blogger site.
B GRADE – Discuss which audience will be attracted to your poster and why? How is it does it reflect the product in its design? Why does it have an original and creative idea in the way it is laid out?
A GRADE - Once you have types up your step by steps. Suggest an idea for how the poster may become interactive with the viewer- put your creative thinking caps on and think outside the box.

* Check your blogger for TA and Set yourself a target for this half term- look at my next step for guidence.
C GRADE
*Create a mind map in Poplet showing a range of ideas for an advertising poster for a pair of trainers.
B GRADE
* Write up a paragraph explaining your final idea.
*Take a Photograph for the background of your poster if it is outside. (do not include the trainers)
A GRADE
*In your mind map include images to illustrate ideas. Your idea show be original and as creative as possible. Inculde a sketch of how you visualising it to look.

LO Evaluate and compare the creative applications of Illustrator and Photoshop. Access your understanding that you have development during the branding investigations.
Lesson Outcomes
Please make sure that all your work has been fully uploaded onto Blogger from the composite task before creating the Compare and Contrast post.
Banned words - I like, It was alright, It's nice, It was ok, not a lot ect NO BORING adjectives or lazy sentences! Use your thesaurus on your IPADs for alternatives.
Success Criteria
C grade
- Discuss who would use which program in the media industry?
- What would they use them to create?
- What format does Illustrator and Photoshop work on and what is the difference(vector / pixels)?
- What did you do on both programs?- describe both tasks separately.
- What did you learn about the programs?- tools and techniques.
- What ideas did you gain during the tasks for future creative media work?
- What elements of the programs did you enjoy using and why? discuss highlights of both programs.
- What tools or techniques did you find more challenging and why? discuss highlights of both programs.
B & A Grade
- What would be the advantages of using the program? discuss both.
- What-are the draw back to using the program? Discuss both.
- What would you like to learner how to do on Photoshop and Illustrator next?
- Do you feel confident now to explore the programs independently or do you still feel as if you would like some more workshop?
week four
LO- Research and analysis the surreal images by Erik Johansson. Enabling you to begin to think about the creative application of Photoshop.
Success Criteria
Grade C- Create an example of a composite image using the mask layer technique showing understanding through investigation page.
Grade B-Show a direct link with the work of Erik Johansson, this should be discussed during the write up of skills workshop stating the link between analysis and research.
Grade A- Research and second photographic retouch that uses the composite technique to create surreal images. This should be added to you blog as an analysis page. Compare both artist work and suggest how it has inspired you with ideas for your exampleYou should have a creative example showing a strong theme or narrative. The inspiration should be evidenced within the final outcome and the technique should be reviewed and final piece evaluated.

week three
LO- Explore the graphic design program Illustrator to in able you to create your branding timeline poster.
Success Criteria
Grade C- Develop an understanding of basic techniques in Illustrator, in order to create the branding timeline poster.
Grade B – Use new understanding to create a digital poster that reflects your final design. That shows the evolution of the brand identity of the company.
Grade A – Working independently to create an imaginatively and visual individual poster design.
All learners must take screen grabs to show development of poster design. Upload to blogger.
Peer Assessment - 24/10/2013
Photograph the poster that your assessing and up load it onto your blogger account. Writing up the peer review underneath and publish on your account.
